The Evolution of Ransomware

(InfoSec 101) Over the last few years, ransomware has remained an ongoing security threat for organizations worldwide. In fact, according to an annual report on global security, there were a total of 304 million ransomware attacks in 2020 ( Cyber criminals continue to exploit security vulnerabilities resulting in their ability to encrypt organization’s data and hold it for ransom. Join us as we discuss the evolution of ransomware, how attacks are successful, and ways to avoid becoming a victim.
