SonicWall Secure Remote Access, a Virtual Private Network (VPN) service that creates a secure connection between your device and the campus network, will be retired on December 15, 2022 and replaced by GlobalProtect.

Transition to GlobalProtect

The easiest way to access protected applications is through the GlobalProtect Portal on the web. Visit the GlobalProtect web portal, enter your Princeton netID and password and click log in.

GlobalProtect can also be installed on your Windows, Mac, iOS, or Android device. Detailed instructions for using GlobalProtect is available in the KB article.

What is a VPN?

A VPN service creates a secure connection between your device and the campus network and is used when you need to access restricted networked resources from off campus. VPN service is only needed when you are accessing restricted, networked resources. Most services, such as email, Office 365, Google Apps, and Jabber do not require VPN.
